Ashwin Mushran is an Actor by day (night's as well from time to time) and moonlights as a Salsa DJ when not shooting for movies or commercials. Ashwin has acted in a number of Bollywood Hits including "Fashion", "Lage Raho Munna Bhai", and an Indian Western Spoof, " Quick Gun Murugan". He has been a Salsa teacher on and off for a few years and became a Salsa DJ only by default since somebody had to play the music and the honour of pressing the buttons fell to him.
Ash as he is popularly known in Salsa circles learnt Salsa in London and started teaching it in Bombay when he returned in 2003. As his acting career picked up he had less time for teaching and inevitably moved to the DJ console for Salsa India events and now DJs at a number of Festivals in India and abroad as well. Ash is very proud to be part of 1st India Hip Hop &Latino Festival 09 and is looking forward to playing some smooth Salsa for all the dancers there.
